Annley and I have been working on the alphabet for months. She’s been able to recognize all the capital letters for a few months so now we are working on lower case letters and letter sounds.

This morning she spotted an umbrella and started shouting “UMBRELLA”.

I spotted this as a learning moment and asked her what the word umbrella started with and emphasized the Uh sound.

She looked me, smiled and said “U!!!”

I was soo much more excited than she was.
